| Lagaan: Once Upon a Time in India (2001): Lagaan tells the story of Indian Village Champaner, ambient drying and British colonialism in 1893. Without a drop of rain in a month, worried villagers of Champaner decided to ask local authorities about the suspension of tax - hated Lagaan. Led by the heroic Bhuvan (Aamir Khan Indian Superstar) and they bring their plight to the military governor, Captain Russell (Paul Blackthorne).
